Amy Lee Grant (b.1960) is an American singer-songwriter, author, and musician known for shaping contemporary Christian music (CCM) and pop. Grant rose to prominence in the 1980s with Christian hits such as Father’s Eyes, El Shaddai, and Angels. The record sold five million copies in the U.S., featuring pop hits Baby Baby, That’s What Love Is For, and Every Heartbeat.
Beyond music, Grant authored Mosaic: Pieces of My Life So Far (2007,) a memoir, and Breath of Heaven (Mary’s Song) (2001,) inspired by her Christmas song. She also wrote Amy Grant’s Heart to Heart Bible Stories (1985,) a collection of biblical narratives.
