Amy Alcott (b.1956) is an American golfer, golf course designer, and author, celebrated for her impact on women’s golf. A member of the LPGA and World Golf Halls of Fame, she is known for her aggressive playing style and contributions to course architecture.

Born in Kansas City, Missouri, Alcott began playing golf at seven, practicing in her yard with soup cans as holes. She turned professional in 1975, joining the LPGA Tour, where she won 29 official events, including five major championships—among them, the U.S. Women’s Open (1980) and three Chevron Championships (1983, 1988, 1991.)
