Inspirational Quotes by Alfred Williams Momerie (British Theologian)

Alfred Williams Momerie (1848–1900) was an English cleric, philosopher, and academic known for his Broad Church views and contributions to Christian philosophy. His sermons and writings explored theological skepticism, metaphysics, and religious thought.

Born in London, Momerie studied at the City of London School, later earning an M.A. (1875) and D.Sc. (1876) from Edinburgh University. He continued at St. John’s College-Cambridge, graduating B.A. (1878) and M.A. (1881.) Ordained as a deacon (1878) and priest (1879,) he served as curate of Leigh, Lancashire, before becoming Professor of Logic and Mental Philosophy at King’s College London (1880–91.)
