Inspirational Quotes by ‘Abdu’l-Baha (Persian Religious Leader)

‘Abdu’l-Bahá (1844–1921) was the eldest son of Bahá’u’lláh, founder of the Bahá’í Faith, and his designated successor and interpreter. Revered for his wisdom, compassion, and commitment to unity, justice, and peace, ‘Abdu’l-Bahá played a crucial role in consolidating and spreading the Bahá’í message worldwide.

Born in Tehran, Persia, ‘Abdu’l-Bahá faced persecution from a young age due to his father’s religious teachings. His family was exiled to Baghdad, then Constantinople, Edirne (northwestern Turkey,) and finally Acre (Israel,) where he remained imprisoned until 1908. After his release, he traveled extensively, promoting Bahá’í principles of peace and unity.

Works include Some Answered Questions (1908,) a compilation of theological and philosophical discussions; Paris Talks (1912,) a collection of his European discourses; and The Secret of Divine Civilization (1875,) advocating social and political reform. Other notable publications are Tablets of the Divine Plan (1916–17,) outlining the global expansion of the Bahá’í Faith, and Selections from the Writings of ‘Abdu’l-Bahá (1978,) a collection of his letters and prayers.
