William Alton Jones (1891–1962) was an American industrialist and philanthropist. He was president of the oil and gas conglomerate Cities Service Company (CITGO.)

Born in Webb City, Missouri, Jones became an executive with the energy company Cities Service Company, serving as president 1940–53 and advancing to become one of the highest-paid CEOs in America.

Jones helped the war effort during World War II by building a secret dynamite production plant in Arkansas, an aviation fuel refinery in Louisiana, and over 3,128 miles of oil pipelines from Texas to the East Coast.

Jones was a supporter of the Republican Party and a close personal friend of President Dwight D. Eisenhower. Jones was killed in an American Airlines flight crash while heading to join Eisenhower on a fishing trip.
