- When I was a child, my mother said to me,
If you become a soldier you'll be a general.
If you become a monk you'll end up as the pope.
Instead I became a painter and wound up as Picasso.
- You can become a winner only if
you are willing to walk over the edge.
- To have striven, to have made the effort,
to have been true to certain ideals
- this alone is worth the struggle.
- I think luck is the sense to recognize
an opportunity and the ability to take advantage of it...
The man who can smile at his breaks and grab his chances gets on.
- Where Mercy, Love, and Pity dwell There God is dwelling too.
- I am open to receive with every breath I breathe.
- Great things are accomplished by talented people
who believe they will accomplish them.
- I hear and I forget,
I see and I remember,
I do and I understand.
- Freedom is not procured by a full enjoyment
of what is desired, but by controlling that desire.
