Issue 56
- I learned that the only way you are going to get
anywhere in life is to work hard at it. Whether
you're a musician, a writer, an athlete or a
businessman, there is no getting around it.
If you do, you'll win--if you don't you won't.
- Children have never been very good at listening
to their elders, but they have never failed to imitate them.
- The harder the conflict,
the more glorious the triumph.
- My basic principle is that you don't make decisions
because they are easy; you don't make them because
they are cheap; you don't make them because they're popular;
you make them because *they're right*.
- I am not afraid of tomorrow,
for I have seen yesterday and I love today.
- It is useless to close the gates against ideas;
they overleap them.
- Life offers two great gifts--time,
and the ability to choose how we spend it.
Planning is a process of choosing among those many options.
If we do not choose to plan,
then we choose to have others plan for us.
