Issue 34
- The next best thing to winning is losing!
At least you've been in the race.
- Always dream and shoot higher than you know you can do.
Don't bother just to be better than your contemporaries
or predecessors. Try to be better than yourself.
- There is little that can withstand a man who can conquer himself.
- Anyone who doesn't make mistakes isn't trying hard enough.
- Men often become what they believe themselves to be. If I believe
I cannot do something, it makes me incapable of doing it.
But when I believe I can, then I acquire the ability
to do it even if I didn't have it in the beginning.
- Determine never to be idle. No person will have occasion
to complain of the want of time who never loses any.
It is wonderful how much may be done if we are always doing.
- Let us be of good cheer, however, remembering that
the misfortunes hardest to bear are those which never come.
- We cannot hold a torch to light another's path
without brightening our own.
- Always look at what you have left.
Never look at what you have lost.
- The key to everything is patience.
You get the chicken by hatching the egg, not by smashing it.
